I had the honor of joining Chris Hayes on his MSNBC show Wednesday to talk about the right’s reaction to the Highland Park mass shooting.

Chris and I fleshed out some of the topics covered in my new Q&A with Mark Follman about gun violence in America and how this summer has been a disastrous one for “good guys with guns.” We covered Fox News’s easily debunked efforts to shift blame for gun violence to video games or antidepressants (anything but guns), the unseriousness of Republican talk about mental health, how red flag laws aren’t effective unless people try to use them, and more.
