One of the big problems is that real Americans continue to sit on their hands while Fox News foments revolution, illness, anti-vax sentiment, racism, etc. No pickets. No tiki torches. No protests. Nothing. I credit the folks at CNN who at least push back on this stuff, but they're preaching to the converted. Until Fox News is made to feel pain for doing this -- the on air "entertainers" who have no problem sleeping at night making money off advocating for the destruction of American democracy -- this will continue.
People love to say "why don't you start it then" in response. I'm a nobody. People aren't protesting outside Fox News because I say so. Someone with a following needs to get it started. An actor. A musician. An athlete. A personality. Where's big mouthed Al Sharpton? He had no problem organizing protests against Koreans trying to make a living. We need someone with a platform and a following to make these villains feel the wrath of real Americans, not just one guy in a deli who tells Tucker that he's despicable.
All of this is just baffling. What is the long game here? Other than climbing over corpses to get to the top and stay there? To what end? And why are all those Fox people and the assorted variety of elected officials so eager to assist, even at the risk of losing any credibility for eternity? Do they all really believe that by aiding the project “Oligarchs of the World, Unite”, some crumbs may fall on them? Are they ready to live in a world where one false move sends them to the gulags? Where whichever slice either Putin, Xi, or Trump(ist) picked is going to be an equally dismal place? What do all these people think they will gain from this????

But in a way Banks is right because Cheney and Kinzinger are helping to get to the bottom of what happened on January 6 so those people involved and responsible are never elected again.
