When Dumb and Dumber (or Weird and Weirder) are your choices for Congress, what will Republicans do?

As for Trump defenders, we can always count on Lindsey Graham to carry the torch. He's so far gone in his groveling devotion that he doesn't mind humiliating himself for the love of his life. It's pathetic. The others are in a spasm of self interest that won't last.

And just who is the Party of Grievances pandering to in their manufactured fury over student loan forgiveness? I also noticed that at the bottom of Fox's screen yet another attack on Hunter Biden is scrolling. What a clumsy attempt to gin up anger against Biden on two fronts at the same time.

"Trump has famously wriggled out of every attempt so far to hold him accountable for the one-man crime spree he’s been on most of his adult life." Bartlett's should add that.

What a shame that Tim Ryan has to contradict himself without good reason to appeal to those who cannot think beyond themselves in order to do what is right and good for everyone. College loans forgiveness and access to free higher education are not seen as a public good.

Although we enjoy Fetterman making a fool out of OZ, he has to resort to antics in order to get to base instincts: the fun of making someone a fool. The real business about what's at stake and the good of people and the country, does not get through. Pulling other people down does. Catering to ignorance does. Somehow Trump escapes the consequences of being shown as ignorant and made a fool.

I shop at Wegman's by the way. In order for Oz to make his point about produce he picked a prepared tub of guacamole that cost $10 and something prepared with tequila, probably another $8-10. The asparagus, seasonal, is not inexpensive produce normally either. Food does cost a lot, but one if one is trying to save one stays away from such things. Fetterman seized on something that people know about probably, and know that it's not about Biden or Ukraine...but probably true and happening since Covid. This "had legs".

Sen. Lindsey Graham is essentially a political suckerfish who is always looking for the next host. He moved from Sen. John McCain seamlessly to Trump, and if Trump goes down, expect him to transfer to the next Republican shark, no matter how incongruous it might seem.

This is who he is, this is what he does.

Jennifer Rubin quotes in WaPo from George Stephanopoulos's pinning of Sen. Blunt:

It ought to be required reading for some of these news show hosts. They could also benefit from a seminar in effective cross-examination.

Is it pedantic to point out that Thor Benson got the supermarket wrong, too? Oz wasn't at Wegman's. He was at Redner's, made clear by a sign above his head in one shot of the video. He mashed up Wegman's and Redner's to get "Wegner's".

Since we're mocking his screwing up the name, shouldn't the reporting about it take some pains to get the store name right?

The only purpose of Graham speaking of riots is to pet trump, hoping he can escape to a future murderous "tweet"...
